4pm: World War One music by the Albury City Band.

Navy, Army and Airforce Cadets form a Guard of Honour.

4.20pm: Official guests arrive and are seated.

Welcome to Country by Aunty Nancy.

Welcome by RSL President.

5pm: National Tribute by Pipe Bands Australia.

Featuring: The Scots School Albury Pipes and Drums & The Albury Wodonga Pipes and Drums.

First Hymn: Eternal Father.

 This is a version of "The Naval Hymn" for all three Services. Please join with Dianne Prince accompanied by the Albury City Band and the Sing Australia Group – Albury Wodonga.

Address by the Mayor of Albury, Councillor Kevin Mack.

A Prayer by RSL Chaplain.

Address by The Member for Albury, Mr Greg Aplin.

Second Hymn: The Recessional.

Please join with Dianne Prince accompanied by the Albury City Band and the Sing Australia Group – Albury Wodonga.

Address by the Member for Farrer The Honourable Sussan Ley, MP.


Wreath laying by members of the Bishop and Borella Families representing the service men and women buried in the Pioneer and General cemeteries.

The Ode to be recited by the RSL President is taken from the 3rd and 4th verses of Laurence Binyon’s poem ‘For the Fallen’.

The National Anthem.

Please join Dianne Prince who will lead in the singing of the National Anthem accompanied by the Albury City Band and the Sing Australia Group – Albury Wodonga.

Pipers play the Lament ‘Dark Isle’ and the Pipes and Drums then move-off through the cemetery to the tune of Scotland the Brave.


 Catafalque Party is dismounted.

Poppy Day

Poppy Day is held every year on the Friday before Remembrance Day.

    This and ANZAC token day are our main fund raisers for the year and any support that you can give to make the day a success would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the office if you wish to volunteer to help

    The funds raised are used keep the offices open to continue our welfare and pensions work.
