Volunteering at the Albury RSL Sub Branch

We are always looking for volunteers to ease the load on the current volunteers,

as many are into their late 70’s & 80’s.

It is not necessary to be an ex-service person as we accept affiliate membership.

City of Albury RSL Sub-Branch

 The City of Albury RSL Sub Branch operates from a refurbished house at the western end of Wilson street in Albury

    The main aim of the Sub Branch is to look after the well being & welfare of ex-service and service men and women in Albury and surrounding areas.

   To this end we encourage any ex-service and service people and/or their partners to drop into the office and have a chat to one of the volunteers. We may not always be able to answer all questions straight away but can generally get the answer within a few days.

    Of course you can always just drop in for a bit of social chat and have a cuppa, the water is always on the boil, and the volunteers like the company.

    The Sub Branch is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and we are always looking for more volunteers as we would really like to have the office open for more days, so if you would like to volunteer please come and have a talk to us.

Meetings

    The Sub Branch meets on the 3rd Sunday at 11.00 am in Feb, Mar(AGM), Apr, May, Aug, Sept, Oct and Nov in the meeting room at ANZAC House. Most meetings last about an hour and are followed by lunch and drinks. 

Note there are no meetings in Jan, Jun, Jul and Dec.

    The committee meets on the Tuesday before the general meeting.

Sub Branch administration fees
You may have read in the Reveille that RSL NSW requires no membership fee. See here for more information.
The sub-branches have now been informed that they can set their own fee to cover administration.
The committee has decided that the sub branch will not be charging an administration fee.

Due to the withdrawal of funding from DVA and other sources the Soldier On office has now closed.

In the near future we hope to have a welfare/pensions person starting work at the sub branch.
